FAQs / Help

How do I use my e-ticket?

Following your purchase you will receive a booking confirmation e-mail containing a unique reference number with a barcode representing your ticket order.

You can show the barcode ticket on your phone or print out your e-ticket ahead of your visit. If you do not have access to the email-enabled smartphone or a printer, you can quote the reference number from your booking confirmation.

At the gallery entrance, you will be asked to present this to redeem your tickets and gain entry.

Can I purchase a ticket at the Design Museum or on the day?

Onsite ticket sales are subject to ticket availability. Once a given date is sold out online, we will not have further tickets available to sell onsite.

We recommend booking tickets in advance via our website to avoid disappointment on the day and to guarantee your entry to the exhibition.

Is entry to the Design Museum permanent collection included in my event ticket?

Entry to our permanent collection, "Designer Maker User," and our temporary free displays do not require a ticket for individual or group visits. Only school groups need to pre-book their visit.  You can enter these spaces for free every day, 7 days a week. For exact opening times, please check our website's Plan Your Visit section.

I'm a member. How do I access exhibitions?

Members can access paid exhibitions for free by showing their digital membership card at the entrance. No need to pre-book tickets in advance, even if the exhibition is sold out. Free displays throughout the museum can be accessed without showing any proof of membership.
