Saturday 16 June 11:00-14:00

How can subjective maps reveal the power relations that shape the city? Dutch-designer Ruben Pater

During this workshop participants split into groups to design walking tours in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea which will be used by visitors of the Design Museum.

Using statistics, trivia, and archives, participants will map the inequalities and the contrast in living conditions that are unique to this borough, where the richest 1% and poorest 5% of UK society live together in the centre of London. The maps produced will allow visitors to critically explore the context and social complexities of the local area.
